We got this Toy Story "Woody" doll for Eli last christmas. They are inseparable friends, we've tried telling him his name is Woody, but to Eli he is just Buddy. He has never watched the movie before and has no idea who he actually is, besides his buddy. So the other day we were strolling through walmart and on the shelf was the 10th annversary edition of Toy Story. Eli stopped in his tracks and stood mesmerized by this movie. He looked up at me with this innocent look of confusion and said, "Mommy... Buddy?" So i HAD to buy it so he could watch it finally.
So we get home and i have to cook dinner and remember the movie in in one of the bags. I pop it in and he sits there just amazing.... jumping up and down ScReaMing at the top of his lungs "BUDDY BUDDY BUDDY" and then went to his room to find his "buddy" and make him watch the movie with him.
Eric has been in one band or another for about 13 years now. Hes been an amazing drummer in his first band, and now hes branched out and hes the guitarist for his band "Draw From the Effect" . They have played alot of shows in Oroville andare now branching out to other towns. Recently they have had the chance to be in a compitition with other bands for a really great oppurtunity. If they win they get $100,000, a recording contract, new equipment, and a NATIONWIDE tour. So far they are the favored band in the competition. They play on October 2nd. Wish us luck!

So we have decided its time that our toddler has a big boy bed.... hes been sleeping without the front rail on his crib for the past couple of nights, but the crib itself dosent seem very stable and is a little higher off the ground than i prefer {falling off the bed is not a fun thing to wake to.} so Eli's room is decorated in a "Vintage Firetruck" theme and i thought it would be fun to get a bed that was also a fire truck! i searched and searched and all i could find were theae chead looking plastic molded goofy cartoon trucks.... until i stumbled upon this!
Isnt it so cool? Its made of WOOD, handpainted details and it has a toybox in the front area. I LOVE IT! and its cheaper by 50 bucks than the other ugly bed! So tell me what you think!
So we decided to escape the smoke last weekend and run up to Fort Bragg. Eli has been there before but he was only a baby and therefore makes this time a whole new experiance...lol
We thought, "okay we will let him work his way up to the water and check it out by himself" thinking that he might be scared of it. Nope.... Eli ran down the whole beach and just jumped right in! My little fish boy. So our weekend was really nice, i love spending time like that with my little family.

I seriously could not imagine having a better husband and father for my childeren. Eric is one of the most compasionate, sensitive,devoted, and silly dads I have ever met. He tries so hard to be everything he never had as a child. I would say he far surpasses those efforts. We love him so much and Eli couldnt be a luckier boy. Happy Fathers Day Honey Buns.

Wow! i have been so busy latley that i have totally neglected my poor little blog... so to update, I finally went back to work last monday after taking a year and a half off to be a mom. I waited this long because i work at a Daycare/Gymanstics Acadamy and Eli had to be 18 months before he could attend. So Eli is in his own little class with other 18-30 month old toddlers. At first he hated it, well hated might be an understatement... he screamed at the door for an entire hour and a half until my boss decided that she didnt want to traumatize him and so she asked if i could teach his class for his first day... and so the week went on with me teaching my 3 year olds class and eli screaming in his. Today however i recived a progress report from his teacher saying that eli was OUTSTANDING!! he only cried for 5 minutes and then decided to play the rest of the 4 hours!!!! he even ate all of his luch without help!!!! I could have cried i was so happy. so sorry if this was a long blog but i had alot to say. Here are a few pictures of our trip to the Silver Dollar Fair.

oh how this little boy cracks me up. this is elijah enduring the dreaded, horrible "time-out". he is really really good at staying n his little chair in the corner and waiting his two minutes until he can come and tell me what he did wrong and say hes sorry. its probebly the cutest thing in the world, because he says "Sowwy mama" and gives me a huge hug. i know hes in trouble but
