Lets all take a moment of silence...
to mourn the loss
of naptime.

Eli has reached the point were he no longer
needs a nap in the afternoon.
I need the naptime quiet.
But he doesnt.
.
After an hour and a half of fighting with him to go to sleep
and then he only taking a 30 minute snooze...
I decided it just isnt worth the trouble anymore.

Farewell afternoon bliss...

I don't know if this will work but here's what I do since I also NEED that nap...When Daisy goes to bed Kaylee and I head to my bed. I read until I fall asleep and she either draws or reads or whatnot. I can still hear her in and out of sleep and usually she gets bored, lays down next to me and falls asleep. It's pretty safe although there was once when Heidi went outside, checked the mail and cut open the mail with scissors. She also tried to escape once out the kitchen window. And I don't have boys who tend to get into more trouble. good luck.
josh still naps, but there has been a few times when he hasn't wanted it. even if he doesn't sleep, he still has quiet time on his bed. it works here...but we know how different eli and joshua are though. good luck.
