My Little Burn Victim.

I swear this kid has a special skill for burning himself... just last month he burn both of his thumbs on my hot iron and today he walks right over to our wall heater and STICKS HIS HAND RIGHT ON IT!! Yay... so i jump into emergency mode and grap him to stick his hand under some cool tap water. Of course I dont have ANY antibiotic ointment or aloe.

So I automatically think "Hey Kaylee will have everything!" Kaylee is my newly appointed "burn specialist" Her little girl Olive accidentally burned her poor little arm on an iron. So Kaylee had all this special medicine and bandages for my little burn victim. THANK YOU KAYLEE! Im making her sugar cookies as a treat right now!

Our Early Christmas Present!

So as some of you may know... I have an intense love of animals, esp dogs. Since Kelly, Eric's Rottweiler, died earlier this year we have felt a certain emptiness in our home.
Eric unexpectedly brought home a Doberman puppy a couple of months ago, which we ended up giving to a family with an older child.... I wasn't comfortable with a doberman. So we began thinking of which kind of dog would fit in best with our family...

After much consideration we came up with a Miniature Dachshund.
They are small, easily trained, clean, and we knew a breeder here in town!
After talking with Eli about puppies not being toys and letting him play with a few of the other puppies, he picked up this puppy and called him "Parker!"
I have no idea where the name came from but it worked and we took him home.
Hes only 9 weeks old and hes potty trained and crate trained!!!!!

Puppy LoveLook at those EARS!
Say Cheese Parker!
He has quickly become Eli's best buddy.
I couldn't find him this afternoon while Eli was napping...
So when I heard laughter I walked into Eli's room to find them "napping" together.
Very Cute

Boys Room

Okay... so I admit I was a little heart broken when I found out the baby wasnt a girl. I sort of got it into my head that it was and I had already begun to bond with that idea. For a couple of days i almost felt as though i was grieving for my little girl that I never had. But then I started thinking of how much fun it will be for my boys to grow up together and share a room, go to school together, and do all the awful things that brothers do when they are growing up. Fun... lol. So now Im just really excited. Ive started thinking of names (Noah Riley Hudson is coming in first place so far) and planning the "Boys room" I thinks its great for brothers to share rooms growing up. So far I think Im going with this bedding set....

It matches Eli's Firetruck set and the green color of the walls. Lemme know what you think?
