Big Boy Bed

So we have decided its time that our toddler has a big boy bed.... hes been sleeping without the front rail on his crib for the past couple of nights, but the crib itself dosent seem very stable and is a little higher off the ground than i prefer {falling off the bed is not a fun thing to wake to.} so Eli's room is decorated in a "Vintage Firetruck" theme and i thought it would be fun to get a bed that was also a fire truck! i searched and searched and all i could find were theae chead looking plastic molded goofy cartoon trucks.... until i stumbled upon this!

Isnt it so cool? Its made of WOOD, handpainted details and it has a toybox in the front area. I LOVE IT! and its cheaper by 50 bucks than the other ugly bed! So tell me what you think!

Fort Bragg Fun!

So we decided to escape the smoke last weekend and run up to Fort Bragg. Eli has been there before but he was only a baby and therefore makes this time a whole new experiance...lol
We thought, "okay we will let him work his way up to the water and check it out by himself" thinking that he might be scared of it. Nope.... Eli ran down the whole beach and just jumped right in! My little fish boy. So our weekend was really nice, i love spending time like that with my little family.

Hair Cut!

Tribute to the Best Dad Ever!

I seriously could not imagine having a better husband and father for my childeren. Eric is one of the most compasionate, sensitive,devoted, and silly dads I have ever met. He tries so hard to be everything he never had as a child. I would say he far surpasses those efforts. We love him so much and Eli couldnt be a luckier boy. Happy Fathers Day Honey Buns.

Work, Tears, Monkeys and Rides

Wow! i have been so busy latley that i have totally neglected my poor little blog... so to update, I finally went back to work last monday after taking a year and a half off to be a mom. I waited this long because i work at a Daycare/Gymanstics Acadamy and Eli had to be 18 months before he could attend. So Eli is in his own little class with other 18-30 month old toddlers. At first he hated it, well hated might be an understatement... he screamed at the door for an entire hour and a half until my boss decided that she didnt want to traumatize him and so she asked if i could teach his class for his first day... and so the week went on with me teaching my 3 year olds class and eli screaming in his. Today however i recived a progress report from his teacher saying that eli was OUTSTANDING!! he only cried for 5 minutes and then decided to play the rest of the 4 hours!!!! he even ate all of his luch without help!!!! I could have cried i was so happy. so sorry if this was a long blog but i had alot to say. Here are a few pictures of our trip to the Silver Dollar Fair.

Time Out

oh how this little boy cracks me up. this is elijah enduring the dreaded, horrible "time-out". he is really really good at staying n his little chair in the corner and waiting his two minutes until he can come and tell me what he did wrong and say hes sorry. its probebly the cutest thing in the world, because he says "Sowwy mama" and gives me a huge hug. i know hes in trouble but
I LOVE IT!

They Grow too Fast

Its funny how when your growing up your parents are always saying "Stop growing you grow up too fast." And being your usual teenage self you shrug them off and call them weirdos. But now that i am a parent ITS SO TRUE! Eric had some time off recently and now hes back at work and he says wow its like he grows an inch while im at work!

Happy Birthday Sydnee!!

Saturday was Sydnee Avila's 13th birthday. Close friends and family were at her side to celebrate with 13 balloons each and a joyful singing of "Happy Birthday". For those of you who were not touched by this beautiful joyful saint, Sydnee died last summer in a car accident. She was a very bright, happy, young woman and all who knew her loved her emensley. I know everyone says this about people when they die but Syd had a very special way of wedging herself right into your heart. I know I personally was touched by her willingness to help others and make everyone feel like they had a friend in the world. We love you Syd. Happy Birthday Kid.

New Hair!!

So i got sick and tired of having long droopy boring hair and so i CHOPPED it all off!!! :) i really like having shorter hair. It feels so much nicer and i like that i actually look like a wife and mom now.... instead of an unwed teenage mother. lol (i hate when people assume I'm not married or that I'm younger than i am... I JUST LOOK YOUNG... sorry personal rant moment..) What do you think??
