Eric's Show

Here are a few shots of Eric's show last night. I really enjoy getting out and going to his shows. The guys he plays with are all awesome, silly guys and they are like brothers to me. I love that my husband has a hobby that he is so passionate about. Next month they will be going on a week long tour. 2 shows in Hollywood, 1 show on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, 2 shows in Vegas, and a show in Bakersfield. Im really proud of them. :)

What Makes a Father?

What makes a father?


Is it the ability to make a child?


Is it the ability to clothe and feed that child?


Is it being married to his mother?


All of those things are PART of being a father, but what makes a real father is the ability to love that child, the ability to come home and care for that child, the ability to be infatuated with his mother. I am so greatful for my husband in a world where fathers are not expected to do more than bring home a check or make a child support payment, he is there all the way. He is an EQUAL part in our parenting. I consider myself and my sons lucky to have such a good "Daddy"

Binkie~less

HOORAY!

Eli semi-successfully went to bed last night without the Binky. I say Semi-successfully because I had to sit and sing to him for an HOUR AND A HALF before he fell asleep. I did the normal bedtime routine songs,

Well he screamed his head off through all of those. I decided we needed something to distract him. So I sang any song that came into my head.

And then they just started getting weirder and weirder.

"Circus Tent" / "Polar Bear Cave"

Yesterday my son came to me and said "I don't like my room". So I asked him why and he told me it was a boring room. Hmm, so what do you do to a toddler's room to make it more exciting?

Rearrange and add a tent of course!

Okay. So I am one of those weird people that LOVES learning useless, random facts. I rock at trivial pursuit. So I decided to share some of the odd tid-bits I have picked up over the years. If you glance to the right of you computer screen you will see my nifty "Random Fact of the Day" I will try to update everyday :)

So Eli has had the same "faux-hawk" hair cut since he had hair long enough to cut. We decided that since hes a big brother now, he needed a new big brother hair style. Doesnt he just look so much more grown up? Sad, but EXTREMELY cute. lol

I like it because its the same haircut Eric had when we met in highschool. CUTE

Bubble Boy & The Sea of Kitchen

Ugh. Yesterday seriously SUCKED! First my kitchen sink decided it was time to rebel. Now i have a stagnant pond for a sink, back up into my dishwasher, and water pouring out of the wall behind my washing machine. Ugh!! I cant even walk in my kitchen because its so flooded.

Then in the midst of my never ending mopping... I receive a phone call from Eli's Doctor about an allergy test he has taken (which I completely forgot about) that they wanted to "discuss in person". Yea that's never a good sign is it?

Welllll. It turns out my kid is dang allergic to EVERYTHING! They run a test of 70 different allergies, but since they had to have 3 people hold him just to get blood, they only had enough blood to test 30 out of 70. In that 30 he is allergic to...

Dogs Level 3 Allergy

Cats Level 2 Allergy

Grass Level 3 Allergy

and

PEANUTS! Level 4!! Allergy

(they rate on a scale of 1-6)

Okay.... Peanut butter is what this kid LIVES on! I had no idea AT ALL!

The doctor said that this allergy could be building over time and one day I could give him a PB&J sandwich for lunch and he could go into anifilactic (sp?) shock. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

So we went and did more blood drawing and we will find out what else he is allergic to since they only tested him for HALF of the test. Those should be fun reults.

Does anyone have a giant plastic bubble I could just put him in?

btw we got rid of the dog.
